pod Are these scotch bonnet peppers?

I bought these peppers (labeled as scotch bonnet) from a local supermarket that has never steered me wrong in the past. The problem I am facing is that I've dealt with so many misidentified peppers in the past few years that I am now paranoid.

I split the peppers into ones that have the traditional/expected shape for a scotch bonnet and ones that are taller or wider than I typically expect. All of these peppers were mixed into two packages that I purchased.

What do you guys think?

Do they taste alike?

My scotch bonnets MOSTLY have the expected shape but not all of them - probably 1/4, maybe a bit more, don't have the bonnet shape. So it's certainly possible. Smell and taste I guess.

As you can see from the peppers in the foreground, mine came in all shapes and sizes last year, and they were all from the same plant
