Argggg not my Naga!

Well my naga was growing very nice... And then now all new leaves are coming out brownish and falling off b4 they even are 1 millimeter... All the buds that were on it fell off.

Only good thing is most of the bigger leaves are still nice healthy green looking. It kinda seems like over fertilized, but no fertilizer in over 3 weeks...

HELP! I don't want my single naga to die....

Pics of the three plants I hope comeback to life

Congrats on the award...as far as the peppers...

That looks like the classic symtems of too much water. The roots are not too happy with you and the plants are showing it. Cut back a little bit and they should be fine.

I agree, could be overwatering though there is some slight discolouration and a little leaf curl, symptomatic of various bacterial wilts. is there any stem discolouration especially internal?

some of the leaves on the Lemon Drop are discolored, almost a redish tint. And some of the stems right where the leaves are falling off are a brownish color (pictures dun show that too well). What could I get to rectify that if that is the case of a bacteria?

sorry but I don't know how to fix your plants if in fact it is bacteria related. if you cut a stem and there is any sort of discharge (milky, brown etc) then it may be this or even some sort of fungus - probably best to see your local plant store for professional advice. if your problem is overwatering, try to reduce the frequency down to once or twice a week and see if that makes a difference. I know you are an experienced gardener from reading some of your other posts, so I am not going to teach you how to suck eggs as I am sure you know more about this sort of thing than I do.

Thank you Mark! I am not as experienced as you may think, only been at growing peppers for three years. Most of what I know is information gotten off the various pepper forums from much more experienced gardeners than me. But I thank you for the compliment. I will trim some of the stems and go from there.

Is the leaf on the Lemon Drop bronze-ish red? If so, check for spider mites.

And something I read about the death of new foliage is thumping around in the back of my brain. If I remember, I'll post it.

*sigh* Sometimes it's so hard to be a blonde.

Well I trimmed a few stems a little and looked nice n healthy green inside.

Pam the first thing I looked for was Spider Mites and didn't see any. On very close I saw a couple ants on the soil in the Thai-Tabasco plants pot and what looked like gnats.

The soil on them, cept the Lemon Drop, is very damp so I think it is over watering so I was gonna let them go until I see that they are thirsty and go to minimal watering.

....what looked like gnats.

not sure what they are.... white flies or fungus gnats but they have never really gotten bad enough to kill (or hurt) my plants much. but i have had some small soil creatures (about 3x the size of a mite) which have killed a few plants.

but i will have to agree with most, most likely too much water.

good luck

Well the Lemon Drop seems to be on a full outstanding recovery!

One Jalabanero is starting to show a full recovery!

The Thai Tab has the starting symptoms a a recovery!

The Naga.... still no signs of recovery :(

The plant took another turn towards death 2 weeks ago during a thunder storm as it took a dive off of a porch and broke 3 branches off.
