is it strange that yesterday was sunny and 40C and today is raining and lucky to be 20C?

No not strange just immensly frickin stoooopid.

Did you know that if you have to get the condensor replaced on a 2006 Peugot 307 the job will cost in excess of $1700?

Better duck nova ***runs off to get magnum***

Do you like to swim in the warm ocean?

Well I was navy but never left the US...never even stepped foot on a ship...was a corpsman and worked in surgery putting the boys back together from Vietnam...

That was a sad war wasn't it....

They may wrap it up in a nicer package, but all wars are sad.

Here in Israel all men serve the military (or at least they should, as some try really hard to avoid service), so it's quite a tradition for mothers to tell their young sons there won't be any need for the military by the time they come of age. it's been so for the past 60 years. does your country have the same thing?

I come from a very patriotic family...right, wrong, or indifferent, my kinfolk have served as I did...and now the next generation is doing the same...it has to with a sense of pride and satisfaction for doing something that many many have died for...trying to protect our country...

Am I getting too sentimental?

Not at all. I come from a military family, as well. all served in battle and most in special units. even some of the women in my family chose military as a career. I too feel that sense of pride.

Did you serve? if do, where and for how long?

Been in 8 years now. First duty station was the Naval Air Terminal, Norfolk, VA with a cargo-handling battalion. Then was tranfered to COMPHIBRON-8 Norfolk, VA which is an amphibious strike group. And NOW, I'm attached to BMU-2, Team 6 which is a reserve unit of the Beachmasters....and by far my favorite!

You?

Been serving the Israeli Air Force for quite a while now. mostly in the defense department. now I'm in a certain unit I can further tell about only in private. I'm probably leaving the Air Force, though, and moving to a different unit of similar nature in a different branch of the military.

Was that too confusing?
