Both illegal in California. I've never caught so many fish untill I fly fished. Live bait works great, but kinda cheating, lures are more of a challange. Having a fish hit someting that you tied/ made is AWESOME.



Eat or catch and release?
 
If I'm spin casting its a black rubber worm texas rigged with a 1/4 oz black bullet wieght. Very slowly retrieved.
