[Aug 13] What are you working on this week?

Drying peppas
Freezing peppas
 
Might make some birria with beef shanks and trimmed beef brisket or chuck.
 
Need a few things at the market and hardware store.
 
Mental note....dan dan mian with fresh Sichuan peppers is far worse leaving than arriving. :D

It turns out that cheap Damascus is cheap and about as straight as a dog's hind leg. 
 
a buddy from high school sent me some peppers from his garden. Today I will be harvesting the seeds so I can start my own seedlings. Not sure what I'm going to do with the pods yet....
I may use his spice rub on some chicken today as well. (the rub is Ghost pepper,Carolina reaper, trinidad scorpion,thai chili,habanero, cayenne, and lots of garden spices & greens.)

My daughter starts kindergarten in a couple weeks and today she does 2 trial runs on the bus. One this morning which my wife and her are doing as I write this and one this afternoon which I will do with her. I have butterflys in my tummy...not sure if its from riding the bus again or her starting school already haha . That old cliche that they grow up so fast could not be more true I tell yall.
