Ausmith's Indoor Glog - First Harvest. Jamaican Red Hot, Dutch Yellow, Jalapeno, Cayenne

Howdy all,

First post. Day one!! Germination commenced on July 27, 2012 at 19:00 UTC +1.

The goal with this project is to grow peppers year round indoors. Probably do some herbs, onions, and tomatoes as well, if I have some beginners luck. I want to be eating fresh pico de gallo in January.

So here's to the weekend and day 1. Cheers.

I'll post some pictures over the weekend. Right now my better half is nagging that we should go for a swim.

Taking a little vacation this week. My brother-in-law just got back from Madegascar and brought two batches of fresh peppers from a local market. One of the peppers looks like a Hab or Goat. I'll post pictures when I get home on Sunday.

Found some time to germinate the new indoor crop. Here they are soaking....

When I get home I should have all the goods for my new indoor set-up. Pretty stoked about that. It's going to be rad.

This weekend I am going to make the first harvest. we're doing Fondue for Christmas, and I am planning some Jamaican Jerk chicken wings for the feast. Here is a teaser pic.

Okay.... here is my long overdue update. Plants started on July 27, made the first harvest today. 100% indoor grow. All of the plants continue to flower, so I'm expecting a nice flow of pods through our winter here.

I never updated here on the new indoor set-up. My little home-made rig did quite well, but I got bored and decided to invest in something more interesting and ended up getting a GrowLab tent and built my own 8 lamp T5 HO set-up. Over 400watts in there.

Now on to today's harvest. These are pods from 6 plants. Cayenne x2, Jalapeno x1, Dutch Yellow x2, Jamaican Red Hot x1. I'm still waiting on the Hab and the Rawit. The Hab has thrown about 50 flowers in the last week, so I'm hoping for some good results.

Decided to go right for some Jerk sauce.
