baccatum Baccatum Peppers. Question about flavor

Hi everyone...
 
This is to all the recent Baccatum loving / praise posts..... lol  (and no this is not a attack.  Its a honest question)
 
Honestly from the whole spectrum Baccatum so far has to be the absolute lowest on my like scale for peppers.  I like Chinense, frutescens, but I can eat certain Anuums all day long.  Seriously, like right off the plant everytime i am in the garden.  Anyways, i digress.   I have grown the following baccatums in the past.
 
Bishop Hat
Aji Habanero
Blondie
Aji Red
 
While they have a "decent flavor" (blondie sucked, totally bland i thought), they all had this weird like almost soapy after taste.  Actually the reason I stopped growing orange Habs also.  Some reason all strains i grew of Orange habs had this nasty aftertaste also.  So is it just these certain strains? am i doing something wrong in my feedings ? (I use mainly House & Garden Soil 1 and H&G additives for fertilizer).  Almost everyone speaks so highly of this Baccatum flavor.  What am i doing wrong that mine have a horrible weird after taste???

Some claim they get the soapy taste in extreme heat. I haven't really experienced it. 
 
I never had any of the baccatum that you list. 
 
I realized it's all individual perspective but some really good ones are 
 
Limon, Pineapple, champion, bolsa de dulce. I hear amarillo is really good but haven't had any yet they are taking forever to ripen.

Aji Finlandia

I'm thinking of planting
Aji Pepon
Aji Peruvian
Aji Llaneron

But those may have to wait for me to get a house
Space is limited in my apartment. Can't push out my Jalapeño, Sandia, Thai Sun, Thai Orange, Datil, JHC... Yeah :( I have a problem lol :)
 
I haven't grown a whole lot of baccatum (more of a chinense guy), but I have only had a soapy taste from the seed/placenta part of the pods in my experience. I like to eat around that part and toss the rest. I had plans of growing a good handful of baccatums to try this year, but never got around to it. Next year...
 
For those of you that experience baccatums with soapy flavor, what does cilantro/coriander taste like? There's a genetic component involved in cilantro tasting like soap for some people, it might be related.

Hum being israeli, I don't think i could survive without cilantro.  Its in the blood stream... lol  I love it.  Smell, taste.  
 
I'm the guy that hates cilantro.
 
I can eat Lemon Drop peppers like popcorn and I kind of like Brazilian Starfish. In the next week or two I'll find out if I like Aji Amarillo. So far that's my only experience with fresh baccatums.
 
I have Bishops hat and Brazilian starfish and been growing orange habs for 4 years now. Don't get that soapy taste you talking about. My BH taste like a bell pepper with a touch of heat and my starfish taste a lot like Thai dragon with less heat. Could be my taste buds, or maybe growing conditions/fertilizer/pesticide?
Are you using insecticidal soap?
I like Organocide, it smells a little off when you spray it but washes off pretty easily.
 
This is my first year trying any baccatums. Of those I've had so far, I really like the Aji Cito and Pineapple, a lot. I don't really like the Aji Habanero much, not sure why. It doesn't taste bad to me, just nothing stands out that I like about it. I'll probably dry most of them and see how powder turns out. It might make a good base for mixing with other things. I'm growing Brazilian Starfish and Aji Verde too. I had some B. Starfish in a box from Wicked Mike, they were good, but I really liked the Inca Red Drops. It was like fruit gushers juicy, followed by a nice bit of creeper heat. Planning to grow those next year for sure.
