BBM question

I started a grow about 6 weeks ago and have been trying to find out what an actual BBM plant looks like. In the picture the one with dark leaves is the BBM. It sprouted a triple cotyledon which isn't that crazy but the leaves always start out green and turn a dark green/black. No online search shows this variation. Is this normal?

Side note: Not sure why it's sideways.  Also, seeds purchased from Juanitos.

Is it actually popular? That's crazy, I always assumed that BBM was only popular amongst hobbyists. That'd be pretty cool if the local population are eating non-traditional peppers

Haha, no... Not at all. I was just heckling/gently ribbing the guy who always advises ppl to source seeds from local mercado while visiting Xalapa....

More related to the topic, Could it be the nutes that is causing the darkening of the leaves?
 
I'm really thinking it's probably just a cross, but I'd definitely suspect strong lights before nutes. To my knowledge, nutrients usually don't cause purple discoloration on leaves. A little suntan may, but it seems localized to one plant and encompassing entire leaves. It's hard to tell for sure what you've got until it pods up, but they definitely look like healthy enough plants so I doubt you'll be too disappointed regardless.

LOL,
Troy lives about 10 miles from me but seems to be a very busy man. The times I have got in touch with him he did agree to meet with me and save on shipping. Now to work on those Pepper X seeds face to face,lol.

I haven't used nutes on these yet. I'll probably start soon.

I'm using a "36w" led grow light bulb at about 2ft from the top.

I'm kinda hoping its an accidental cross with the SBS ornamental. As far as I can tell the leaves don't look like an Annuum. I'll take a better picture tonight of just that one plant.

First year growing other than bonnies.
One of my bbm looks good, one someb oby likes the taste of it. But they look close to yours. Now I got these from another grower .
Late start, but Louisiana growing season. So hope till November at least.
