Best Burger you've ever had in your life?

The best burger I've ever had is the Whopper from Burger King.  :liar:

I used to have a hobby of going to all the "best," burger joints in all the places I lived in with my siblings. We moved a lot, and still keep moving around, haha. The best burger I've had is from Hopdoddy in Austin, or Allswell in Brooklyn.
 
Hopdoddy has a really good lamb burger for anyone into that, and Allswell is just a really solid burger with uber good fries.
 
i might be bias  ;)  but, my re-creation of the amazing Juicy Lucy burger did win me my last crown

When I was younger I use to seek out restaurants that had a 1lb burger on their menu. Used to be a place called Jeromes BBQ in Petaluma that had a 1lb burger with 6 strips of bacon and sauteed onions. I only finished two or three of them after dozens of attempts.
 
Best burger I ever had though was a hand ground beef short rib pattie with ted &barneys made by my late friend The Shermanator.
 
The green chile cheesburger I grill in my back yard after roasting bushels of New Mexico green chile. Those chiles somehow impart some New Mexico chile magic on the charcoal making the meat taste wonderful. Of course the toasted bun, chopped green chile, bacon and sharp cheddar, along with a little bbq sauce, help too.
 
Not my picture, but mine looked kinda like this one, except with a lot more chopped green chile on top.

Thats a hard one to answer cuz I've had some bomb burgers but this place is definitely a contender for the numbet one spot. Slaters 50/50. Their burgers are 50 percent ground beef and 50 percent ground bacon (hence the name). These pics aren't mine but you get the idea.

I've seen you Aussies post chicken breast sandwiches and call them burgers... I asked about it once, and whomever it was stated in Oz if it's on a bun it's a burger. Different rules here! :P
 
I bought a chuck roast.
 
Ground it twice with my KA grinder attachment.
 
Smashed it in cast iron with super thin sliced onions with a little kosher salt.
 
And put it on a toasted squishy bun.
 
No mayo.
 
No mustard.
 
No pickle or tomato.
 
No nothing.
 
It was the best burger I ever ate.
 
But I'm no authority on the matter of what is and what ain't.

That is the general rule here, burger buns equals burger, ground or otherwise. At KFC we have a chicken fillet burger which is not ground.
