Best deals on fabric grow bags?

well if you count the shipping it's 57. is that a good deal? i've never paid for a pot in my life. except the five gallon buckets for a dollar from the pickle guy at the flea market

Check out alpha hydropoics, they have root pouches and there 10 gallons about .25cent more per bag (they have handels), but they are member here on the board and might be able to work with you some.

That would be $5.70 each which is far cheaper than plastic nursery pots.
Nowhere to get free pots around here. I see used 15 gallons on Craigslist for $4 each but I would have to drive 30 miles to get them. Not really worth it.

Joshuap2000, thanks I looked at their site and they want $19 for four of the 10 gallon fabric bags which is a good deal as well.

Have you seen the post cayennemist made a few days ago? If not check out out.

Here is the best deal I have found

http://www.gardeners...spx?p=VP-RPXXXX

I just got my order of 7 and 10 gallon sizes. 10 of each came to $48.47 including shipping. That comes out to less than $2.50 each. These are the grey colored bags and are supposed to be good for 2 to 3 years. They also have some in red, green or brown for a bit more money.

The grow bags feel more like a felt type material and are supposedly made from recycled plastic bottles. The walmart bags seem to be made from a thin cloth type material. My local Walmart gets .99 per bag for what looks to be the same size as a 5 gallon grow bag.

I have not used either in the past so this is my first experience with them. I've read nothing but good things so time will tell.

Funny that I posted that I wanted fabric bags and one person gives me links to plastic ones and I said not Walmart bags and someone asks if I saw the thread about Walmart bags. Do people read posts before answering? I don't think so. lol

I just found these on eBay. $42 for 10 of the 10 gallon. That's a steal!

Wonder what the lifespan is on that brand. Never heard of them before. I've only really heard of smart pots and root pouches, although admittedly I haven't looked to hard. I think lifespan is an important thing to look at though. I use root pouches (and I love them btw), and I like the added benefit that they are so cheap and I can get 3-4 seasons out of the gray ones and 4-5 seasons out of the black ones.

Have you looked at Home Depot for root pouches? They may be more per pouch than what you get online, but if you take shipping out of the equation it winds up being about the same and then you don't have to wait for shipping.

Home Depot only carries the Viagrow bags and they are $25 for 5 of the ten gallon. Not sure how long they would last. I am still wondering if these burlap coffee bags at work would do the job? I think they might mildew when you wet them though.

Yeah I am growing out of Wall-Bags bags. What I would do for 15g grow bags for like 1$ each.

Don't get me wrong, you get a hell of a lot of value out of a wallmart bags, but If you want to grow trees, 4.5g just isn't enough.

What are the best prices you have found on fabric grow bags?
I know armac has posted some before as have others.
And no, I don't want the Walmart bags as I want to go larger in the 7-15 gallon range.
