Well I tried last year but I used the Raised bed potting soil from Home Depot with horrible success with new seedlings, What is a recommended soil I can get at Home Depot? I want to grow in 5 gallon pots this year.
Scuba_Steve said:I found that Miracle Grow Organic Choice is very close to the recommended 5-1-1 mix. It is probably closer to 3-1 though. You need to add 1 part perlite to make it 3-1-1. According to the ingredients it has 65% pine bark fines and unknown quantities of sphagnum peat moss and compost.
Good god man that's quite a comparison. Good thing I just got a nice new job, I'm gonna need some quality shit before long.D3monic said:all was started in the same crappy MG organic. Ones on left were transplanted to Promix roughly two weeks ago.
Paper lantern hab
Fildaga roxa
Bhut Orange Copenhagen
White bullet habanero
You get the idea. I also had a few that were planted in regular MG potting mix and they are just as miserable looking as all the others in MG
lmfao, ive seen you post this like 5 times already. Those are pretty shitty comparisons, considering that you have 2+ plants fighting for nutrients in the MG and only one in the promix...D3monic said:
