chinense bhut jolokia color transformations

ok so i have a bhut jolokia with tons of pods on it, most are green. one has recently turned a canary/pale yellow. will the color progress further? most I see online are like an orange/red.

Sounds like you have a yellow bhut to me.  I don't have any pics of mine yet, but there are lots of them online if you just google yellow bhut.

interesting. i may give it a few more days until I decide to harvest it. looks similar to the joyner's pepper, but fatter, maybe a bit shorter.

Like this one, the first one is a giant yellow bhut,  and this is the normal.

Makes sense, most all other I had were bumpy.

I got two kinds of bhuts in one seed packet.
 

 
I ordered regular bhuts and some grew to look like this.  They ripened directly to red.
 
 

 

 
Then others are ripening yellow, and may or may not look more orangeish as I leave them on the plant (could be my imagination).  I'm gonna have to thank Niel at Hippy Seeds for the surprise.
