This is one of my MoA Scotch Bonnet plants. A while back it was somehow decapitated after which two branches grew from that point.
The whole plant:
The two malformed branches are seen here growing at 11:00 and 6:30. All the leaf structure on these two branches is deformed.
There is nothing normal about any of them:
Here are a few more shots of the top growth:
This is normal growth of side branches coming from lower down the stem:
The malformed branches are now forming flower buds. So far they look normal:
Some close up pics of bizarre leaves:
Certainly an interesting plant. Only the top two branches are growing like this. The rest of the plant is perfectly normal and diplaying healthy growth.
Anyone have thoughts on why this is growing like it is?
