Black Chiltepin

These lovely plants are finally flowering!  Worth the wait!

That is cool! Where did you find seeds for black? I have yellow, texas, and sonoran right now.

We found a plant a year or two ago, over at Harlow Gardens, I believe.  I really know very little about the ancestry of this one.  The pods aren't nearly as hot or flavorful as the Sonora natives, but the plant's visual beauty makes up for it!

Also called chiltepin pima bajo comes from pima bajo which is in mexico I believe very cool variety I have seeds I will be starting soon

Wow I didn't realize chiltipins had purple flowers and stems. What a beautiful plant. How big can they get?

They can become a pretty large bush if cultivated properly.  Container size is the biggest factor in how big a pepper plant can be.

So if you put them in the ground you could almost make a hedge with them? Cool!! Eye candy for mama and hot candy for pops
