Black Goat'sWeed?

My Goat's Weed has been beautiful all season. Dark green to bright red fruit. Now they are turning a crazy black!

Is it the cold or change in light? Love it and it's perfect for Halloween, but completely unexpected.
 
That is normal for Goats Weed, color progression is green, black, and final stage is red.  They will stay black for the majority of time though, I prefer them ripened to red but my friends like to eat them in the black stage.

Maybe I'm blind, but I swear all hear they've gone from dark green to red. Going to go back and look at older pics.
 
Went back and don't see any pics with peppers this color. Don't care, I'm loving how beautiful it is. This may be the one I try to Bonchi.
