Black Hungarian

I was just given a Black Hungarian as a present along with other stuff for retiring off of this teaching cadre I've been with for the last 20 years. They knew I grew peppers and thought ii something good to add. It looks like a nice plant with pretty purple flowers.

From what I can find they're not hot, but have a distinct flavor.

Anybody ever grow them?

I have grown them for the last few seasons, they are very popular at our tasting sessions, nie flavour, not too much heat. I use them as an introduction to chilli growing, converting a few folk can't be a bad thing. The heat level is low, around that of a Jalapeno, on the plus side for those of us on this side of the big pond, they grow quite well outside here in the UK.
