Bluemeanietsi's "late to the game" Glog 2013 style

Got into this a little late and the seeds were purchased off of eBay (before I knew about this site) so for all I know these are all green bell peppers haha.

As I stated in my newbie thread this is the greenhouse I built/work in progress. Right now they are spending the nights inside as it's still warm during the day. I have other flowers in there that will be moving indoors soon to make more room.

Here's what I have so far, I plan to keep up with updates hopefully I get some exciting pods from these:

Here are my "Bhut"s a little over a month old:

Here is my only scotch bonnet that survived, the others were eaten so I'm not sure if I'll get anything off this one or not:

It's late in the year but I'm going to try to keep these guys growing in the greenhouse and maybe have a winter harvest :) Otherwise it's a learning experience until the growing season starts next year and I start the remaining seeds.

I have some "Butch T"s that popped up last week I have to get photos of too, they're about 1" tall now.

Sorry to hear about the plants. I have used a few different fish emulsions including Alaska and never had any issues. I don't blame you one bit for ditching those nutrients, but run through everything, and make sure you didn't slip up somewhere else. A lot of pepper issues are hard to differentiate between. Do you have any pictures? If they are older plants, give them a bit of time to recover. If they are young seedlings then trash them.

Some wilted about 2hours after, others the next morning were completely shriveled up, the larger plants within 2 days.

I only put it on half in the event there was a problem so the identical plants I didn't fertilize are ok, pretty sure that's what caused it. I'm going to let the older ones go and see but I've already trashed the younger ones. I was able to save a few of them with repotting, one looks pretty bad but I moved it inside under a light and it looks like it's doing better.

Sounds like you may have overdosed them on fish emulsion and burned them up. What mixture did you use?

More like a tablespoon or so per gallon, whoever shared that ratio with you was not very knowledgable.

I would avoid using any further advice from them. They are dangerous.

Fish emulsion, used in the proper dosage, is one of the best nutrients out there. Do not give up on it, use it properly and you will see the advantages.

Holy sh#t !!!! That stuff will gag a maggot when used properly. Surprised you didn't have every racoon in W. PA ripping apart your greenhouse. I am packaging up those seeds you wanted, PM me if there are any others that you need for your restart.

I've got plenty of the not black naga seeds, just mad I wasted a month with them they were getting nice and big. The greenhouse does smell like a pig farm currently lol.

I'm working oiut moving a couple of them inside under LEDs.

A little update, I managed to save 1 not black naga, 2 scarlet lanterns, and I think one of my Bhuts will pull through, a few that I didn't fert are still ok but they are almost all Ebay seeds so I'm not even sure what they will end up being.

That being said I was excited to see a Peach Bhut popped up today, I should have a few Peach Ghost Scorps in the next couple days. Friday I'm buying 2 DWC setups to grow the peach ghost scorps indoors.

So here's my current project. I'm still working on the LED lighting for my little grow corner so for now it's ghetto CFLs while I await parts to be delivered.

I found 2gal buckets which I think will be perfect, I'd like to bonchi these as they grow as well due to height limitations. I have 3.5gal buckets on standby if I ever need them. Right now I have $25 invested into 2 buckets. The plants are in 3" net pots until my in comes in I will swap them out at that time. I'm using some heavy moss that I had in a carnivorous plant kit I bought at one point to hold the roots/plant upright in the clay - if anyone knows of an issue in doing so I can remove it later for rockwool or such as I had to order some of that.

The one on the right is a reaper (as a test) the one on the left is what I will be growing indoors the peach ghost scorp, waiitng for some more sprouts. I think I can fit 4 buckets on this shelf.

Yeah I did take your suggestion of hanging the light, originally i wasn't going to but I found some stuff laying around that made it feasable. and i took the foil down but I'm not going to add anything to it when I have a completely different light setup coming later. The main rason for the foil is the closet room I have this in sits over an outside overhang and with the door closed tends to get colder in the winter, the foil hut kept it at 82 degrees from the lights.

Yeah it's something I've had to deal with from the days of involvement with the fish.

So the poor reaper is now back in dirt as I have another sprout that I moved into the 2nd DWC. I plan to have 4 total all of them will be peach ghost scorpions. Isolation and the fact it's more of a rare chili that I want to keep inside.
