pics Branch rooting?! W/ pics

This plant is at least 8 months old, 3feet tall, in a container. We just had a rainy week and today, I noticed roots growing on a couple of branches. These are branches towards the top of the plant.

I always wanted to know at what age/size these plants can still grow additional roots when they are transplanted deeper because I always do it when the plants are going outside.

my black cherry tomato plants have roots on the trunk like that, though the ones on my tomato are much bigger

yea tomatoes will root all the up.  Cucumbers will root like that when the vines lays on the ground but never heard ofpeppers doing it
