food Buffalo Chilli Chicken...

I found this in a BBQ cook book and decided to make it last night.

Base recipe:

1kg of chicken pieces
3 spring oinons
2 gloves of garlic
1 cup of tomato sauce
1 tablespoon of cider vinegar
1/4 cup of beer
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of tabasco sauce (or according to taste)


I added:

1 juice of lime
1/2 cup of bourbon instead of 1/4 cup of beer
1 chocolate hab
2 tablespoons of stillmanz new 7 pot 'irukandji sting'
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of ginger
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
I also got rid of 1/2 cup of tomato sauce and added 1/2 cup of hickory smoked BBQ sauce.

I marinated it for 6 hours

I used the left over marinate to pour over the chicken while they were cooking which kept them nice and tender.....

I served it with some pasta and vegies......and OMFG, Bloody wonderful with an awesome burn, and I have enough left over to put on a sandwich for lunch.....

This will be made again for sure....
 
Ooooohhh I can almost smell it and hear the sizzle when you pour on more marinade. I need to start drinking again.

I uesd some of the left over chicken for my lunch today.

Cut it up in thin slices and put it on the bread then smothered it in stillmanz's greatest shave sauce, which is a beautiful sauce...

I then toasted the sandwich...It really was heavenly..

For dinner I am going to do the same thing but I will add cheese, lettuce and some devil tongue jerk sauce.....

Mate I actually had just over 900 grams....:lol: Your not a good judge of weight.....

And a dirty barby is a good flavoured barby....
