misc Bug ID Help!! Brown Ladybug?

I went out to the garden this afternoon after having not been out there in a few days. I checked out my Serrano plant, Banana peppers, even my Green Pepper Plants and noticed there were a bunch of these insects grouped together on all of these plants.

I tried a google search and searched on here too. I am lead to believe that these might be the brown ladybug? When you shake the plant gently or try to schoo the insects they fly away and appear to fly like a ladybug might. I see no harm to my plants or peppers. Never seen but an occasional lady bug around here this summer but they were more red and spotted not solid brown like these are. Just wondering what these are and if they are friend (ladybugs) or foe I have seen so many new bugs in the garden here I am learning everytime it seems. I appreciate the help not panicked here just curious if anyone has seen these before? Appreciate the feedback and another opportunity to learn!!

Thos look a lot like Kudzu bugs. They primarily eat kudzu vines and occasionally munch on soybeans. They normally don't go after pepper plants, but it wouldn't hurt to have the pesticide control method of your choice handy just in case :)

Do they look like this.

Those are NOT ladybugs. I don't remember what they are, but fairly recently saw an article on them - they will damage your plants.
