ChiliHeadInTheMaking Jul 6, 2012 #4 And also protect them from predators. Use some insectiside, natural organic blah blah, Or make your own, there is a few recipes on the internet, aphids apparently hate capsaisan, they also hate dish-washing soap and cooking oil. Next time I get aphids I will try 1 part soap, 1 part oilve oil, 8 parts water. But can't guaranty this will work.

AlabamaJack eXtreme Jul 6, 2012 #5 not saying it always works for me, but when I see an ant, I treat for ants and that usually keeps the aphids at bay...usually if you got ants on your plants, you will eventually see aphids...and any ant bait/poison usually works fine.... I use this: http://www.scotts.com/smg/catalog/productTemplate.jsp?proId=prod180020&itemId=cat50080 just a teaspoon or so scattered on the top of the soil at each plant works wonders...
