Burmese heritage??

New to the chili scene so bare with me. I bought this plant a few weeks ago and was told it was a "Burmese Heritage" can any one offer a better ID on this plant. Pods start purple and finish green.

Thanks in advance for any light you may be able to shed on these.

I think you will find that the fully ripe color will be red or orange I have not heard of that variety before,  probably a hybrid  of some sort . Reminds me of a Thai pepper of some sort,  give it some time I'm sure some of the experts here  would have a better Idea of what it may be.

Those look like the "black leaf ornamentals" I got from Aji Joe.

Do they start out kind of a yellowish green then go to a stripped green and purple to purple to red? It looks like it from the first the first pictues. Some of the leaves on mine aldo had a purple edge when they were smaller but they grew to green when closer to fully grown.

They are a pale green when they first form. The purple ripening only seems to happen on the sunny side of the pod. once they are fully ripe they turn a bright red.

The six at the top are the ones in question.

Yeah those look like the ones I got from AjiJoe. Mine tasted kinda bitter and maybe in the Jalapeno or Serrano heat range.

Was a fun pepper to grow out as an ornamental but it didn't make the cut this year... Needed the space for more flavorful and hotter varieties.
