Very good info Hombre.  I only have one pube in the ground.  I'm not expecting it to do anything over our hot summer, but I'm hoping for it to grow and put out pods over our winter.  It doesn't freeze here often. 
 
I think Smokemaster is also doing an all pube grow this year.  He is the nearest grower to me geographically, so hopefully he will have some good yields to report.

See if you can put  some shade cloth over it.
