Would it be prudent to pick some leafs off?

i think if it's either disease or insect, don't compost those leaves.. get rid of them completely.

Exactly, i never water in full day time sun.. if the plants are outside.. :-) droplets act like magnifying lens. Cheers to another Ben in this world.

It definitely looks like burn to me.

Just wanted to pop in and say that I live in Las Vegas where it's regularly 105-110 in my back yard during the summer, and i've never seen any sort of burns from the sun on my leaves. My peppers grow in direct sun with no shade at all. I use compost tea as a soil drench as well as a foliar spray regularly. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
