indoor Can someone suggest me plants which are similar in size? (Indoor growing for the first time)

Hi,
 
I want to start growing chilli indoors (climate here isn't very nice for outdoor growing except for the summer).
 
I'd like the plants to be similar in size so that they get equal light exposure since I will only use one light fixture.
 
Preferably, I would like them to be different in shape (the fruits that is), color and hotness, and I want to be able to fit 5 plants under a lightwave t5 4x24w (I haven't bought the fixture yet, maybe 2x24 would work also?).
 
I really want to try the Caroline Reaper, but I've read that those plants can get over 3 feet, maybe that's too big if I want 5 plants of that size under the fixture?

Edit... Not an a-hole & I can understand a language barrier.... Just haven't a clue what you're looking for? If I were you I'd be more concerned with lumens, grow tent with fan, indoor grow type (DWC, Kratky, Wick, Drip, etc.), heating, space, etc.

It's OK. I realize my post was kind of unorganized.

Many of the things that you mentioned I hadn't even considered, like heating and fans.

My idea is to begin with as little equipment as is needed to grow the plants, and if this potentielly new hobby is something that I enjoy, I would gladly spend more money to improve it.

But in my apparent ignorance, I thought that I only needed a lamp and some pots.

What I was trying to communicate to the helpful chilli growing gurus at this forum are the following:

I am new to this, I don't own any equipment whatsoever.

I am looking to buy a fixture with 100 w, T5 (6600 lumen). Also some other basic things like root riots, pots etc.

1. Since I will only use one fixture, would it make sence to chose plants which are similar in size? In that case, I would kindly ask for some suggestions of similary sized plants to grow.

2. I don't know how many plants can be placed under the fixture, but I guess that is related to the size of the plants. Are there any plants sufficiently small that I can fit, say 5 plants?

3. Do I "need" anything else than a lamp? I do realize I won't get optimal state-of-the-art chillis, but is it even worth it if I, as of now, don't get any additional equipment?
 
Lets start right here. What do you like to eat? Absolutely not much sense in growing something you dont like. Or do you even know?
Second, how much room do you have allocated to grow in. You dont structure your lighting system to the plants, you structure it to you grow space.
 
Have you eaten a Carolina Reaper before? I highly suggest you order some online and make sure you want to go through all that trouble.
 
While I don't grow, I know what it's like to be a newbie to the game. Before the middle of December 2016, I had eaten jalapenos and I went through a container of crushed red pepper a week. I tried an orange habanero and didn't like it. Other than that....nothing. A friend said his boss could get the Carolina Reaper and I jumped on the opportunity. It was delicious and the rest is history. I've been trying whatever I can get my hands on ever since.
 
I've seen that several sites that sell seeds also provide the information about how tall the plant tends to get.
 
also keep in mind that some plants just get taller or stay shorter than the norm. this year i have 2 giant marconi`s and 1 is 2.5 foot and the other is 3.5 foot. that is about 30 centimeters different. i have 3 jalapenos(2 regular and 1 mucho nacho) and all 3 are pretty much the same height. my point is it is hard to advise you on 5 plants that will mature to be the same height. of course you could top them to maintain the same size. good luck on your grow.

Okay, so the size is not "predefined" then. Good to know. I'll just look at some typical sizes for the plants I want to grow, and top/prune like austin87 suggested.

I haven't eaten the reaper before, but I wanted to give it a try.. well only because it's the hottest pepper and it seemed fun to grow it.

Would it be a problem to grow in a room that I usually occupy myself in, or is it better to find another space? Not that the plants or the light will bother me much, but maybe for reason unknown to me?

Grow lights are BRIGHT and some of them have UV, which can damage skin/eyes. There are special glasses for people who spend all day in grow rooms

So while you can grow in a room that you occupy yourself in, I would say it's probably not recommended OR you want to take appropriate precautions.

The main issues you may find with that is the temps you want for the plants to thrive in may not be what you feel comfortable in.
New and advanced lighting systems emerge all the time and since I am still using mine from 4 years ago, I have not shopped the market to advise on you particular situation. I would be looking at a few hundeed watts for a 10x5 areaa. Dont rush and shop around. I spent a good month looking and asking questions here before buying a variable electronc ballast system for a 1000w HPS/MH bulb.
