seeds Can you plant/germ/grow fresh seeds?

Do seeds have to be dried out before they are viable? Or can you pull a fresh seed out of a ripe pepper and stick it straight into a rockwool cube to germinate it and start growing?

I have grown with seeds straight from the pods

Nice! Same vigor and growth rate as dried seeds? Do they take as long to germ? I would guess no because the seed coat is already soft, but it's just a guess.

I am very happy to have come across this, I was under the impression only dried seeds could be germinated successfully. I had suspicions that fresh would work as well. but I will have to try this next year, or next time I cut open a pepper Ill stuff them right into some starting mix.

As long as the seeds were mature I found not difference really.

My experience is that they germinate much faster than dried seeds...
