CAP 219

[Sluggy]

I got a bunch of seeds from someone that were labelled "CAP 219".

The ones I germinated popped in 2 or 3 days, leading me to believe this must be an annuum. 

Other than that, I'm clueless. 

Anybody have any info on this enigmatic strain ?

It appears to be baccatum subsp. pendulum

I have had baccatum Lemon Drop germinate in as little as three days so it is (I suspect) quite normal.

I saw that the other day when looking up Cap 219.
 
That website mentions CAPH 219, which i don't think jibes with any official seed accession. That might be the website's own reference number, which makes everything confusing imho.

Apparently it is indeed a wild type chilli.

This may explain why all of my CAP219 plants display a rather unconventional shape. 

Rather than having a typical stem-with-two-main-side-branches, all of my CAP219's have numerous first / bottom branches that shoot up fast and grow almost as tall as the main stem. 

So it's not so much a "Y" shape, but more like a "\WYW/" shape. 

This makes the CAP219 very suitable for branch-"training", weaving, braiding and fusing.

I wonder what the pods will be like.  Pics coming soon.
