Had the pleasure of growing this species after years of trying to procure pure seed. Not sure if this is 100% legit,but it's as close as what I have seen sketches of and what's been described in Capsicum literature. Definitely different than any eximium or Rocopica I have grown to date.

I am just a hobbyist. But I only have 10 seeds anyway. The rest went back to the original source.

With the history of this species I wouldn't send out seeds. Not until someone does some actual documenting in the wild with more than just drawings.
 
John, did you pre-soak the seeds before sowing?
i tried presoak, baggie and direct to soil and had no luck in sprouting.............. any advice? (my seed source was/is reputable)

Soiless mix or root plugs with good air-to-water ratio. If you use the root plugs,cut a tiny pocket in the top and insert seed. Better friction than the factory hole.

I go no higher than 78-80 F/26C for temps. Seed quality is still the biggest factor. You can expect 10-70 days for germination with most wilds.

How do you feel about rockwool for germing wilds? I am thinking of using it this season to germ some of the wilds I got from the CP benefit. Just curious on your thoughts about it.
 
Rockwool works well. As long as you have friction and enough air,you can use just about anything. I am a soiless mix guy,but with the root plug craze,I have tried them a few times and rockwool for hydro years ago. Still boils down to seed quality,and enough friction to get the hard seed hulls off of wilds. Over the years the stocks of wild seeds have gotten way better from interest alone. I am seeing a lot of people growing C.lanceolatum,and seeing people,myself included, getting germ times for them between 8-14 days. That was unheard of before. In the Bay Area I would put them in the ground and let them roll for a decade,that would be fun.
