vendor CARDI

Has anyone tried to order seeds directly from CARDI? I emailed them asking if I could purchase seeds for personal use,and was wondering if anyone here has bought seeds from them before.

Thanks,
Wayne

I think you will find they are a pain in the rear, you gotta get an import license, and their smallest sizes are not all that small.  All things considered, I recommend Juanitos Peppers for getting CARDI seeds.  He has done the painful part, ordered them in, and is selling in smaller quantities.  Also, he is a THP member so you'd be keeping it in the family.

I agree, AJ. Let's keep it in the family.
Put in an order with Juanito last week for Moruga and West Indies Red.

Btw, Juanito, do you know if the West Indies Red is essentially the CARDI equivalent to what is generally referred to as a Caribbean Red?

I sincerely do not bother too much...
It has the 'exotic' fascination but in fact It's a government thing for mass production.
You'd better search for landraces and heirlooms from carribean people or small farmers for really interesting and genuine varieties.

Good luck anyway

Datil, I kind of think of CARDI the way I think of CPI except CARDI does seem a bit pompous to declare certain varieties not to exist.  Was it the Moruga Scorpion?  I dont remember.
