Caribbean Red Hab plant doing nothing

What's the deal! I transplanted this guy into a 3 gal pot and unfortunately ripped out about half of it's root system in the process. Ever since it's been transplanted (7/21/14) it has done nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I know the plant is alive though, because when it wilts in the heat it perks back up and is growing bark on the bottom.

What gives? The leaves look odd as well. A lot of the leaves fell off a couple weeks ago.

My guess its growing its roots back.... and then some.

Sit back and relax - you ripped out half its life line and now it needs to rebuild. Once roots establish it'll take off.

Plants normally go through a week or two of transplant shock but with it's root system being torn up it could be much longer. Just be patient and it should get going again.
