Carolina Reaper Size ... LOL

Hey guys and gals.  Any idea what might be causing this hilarious issue I'm having?
 
Peppers started out relatively small but OK (smaller than a golf ball) but now several are doing this:

That looks like a red habenero pepper not a reaper.

I guess they are just less twisted looking when they are the size of a pea.  Lol
 
I figured it might be this little cold front we got that forced them to turn before growing.

boans those look pretty smooth to be reapers
 
reapers are pretty small i think this is what helps them be superhot... placenta to flesh ratio is higher than most other peppers means they are much hotter in aggregate.

Maybe the cooler weather, looking at how smooth they are maybe a cross... just throwing it out there.
