pics Carribean Red Hots?

New grow in soil started very late. I will likely overwinter. I forgot what I planted. I believe it was carribean reds. Doing alot better with one plant to look after. Soil was pretty good to start with but could probably use a fertilizer boost now.

All I have is 12-4-8 Liquid All Purpose Plant Food. I was going to give it house plant ratio maybe 1.25ml per liter water fed.

Looks like it needs a little soil and maybe a tomato cage?

I would like to overwinter and grow this thing like a tree if possible.

Chop this one off? Is this BER? Need calcium? My crappy fert doesn't have any. Did a bug get this? Miracle grow organics (bloom/veggie?) water soluble and keep feeding into winter in the tent?

I use either all purpose or tomato fertilizer with a more sandy soil. Haven't had a problem with either if those. I also don't measure it out, just sprinkle a little directly on the soil and let the water wash it down.

That's up to you. Personally, I don't try to grow peppers over winter, I just try to keep the plant alive and growing new stems/leaves. If you're looking to harvest over winter, you could always let that pepper play out and see what happens.

just my opinion and i could easily be wrong,

i feel like i get spots like that on peppers sometimes, and the ones i have just looks like a natural growth deformation, almost like "scar tissue".

was the leftover flower stuck to the pepper as it grew, by any chance? the symmetry of where they occur looks like it was growing around where the petals may have been attached...

That is possible. It does feel more scar like. Maybe I'll leave it. I should upgrade ferts.

I found some seaweed concentrate at 0.6-0-6 good for direct feed and foliar and shake n feed tomato, fruit and veggie. mixed some promix veggie onto a scratched surface with a bit of shake n feed worked into and under it.. a bit of seaweed concentrate for water / pot already pretty wet and ill let it be for few days. supplementing light best i can. trying keep it inside at night already to not subject it too lowmof temps and ill self pollinate as many flowers I can.

Pushing plant back to longer hours. This plant came from the outdoor. Same container. Going for ongoing production etc. See the veins? Chlorosis? over fert? i thought i saw some spread. it is under led light now. and almost certainly overwatering I am cutting back til midweek lets see if it droops. i have proper foliar now i think.

Edit: Just neglect the plant more it likes that. House plants probably need the care now.

i found a cobweb last night. sprayed it down with water. will do so again tonight. found some fresh flowers wit real nice pollen. massaged those.

Those pods look more like a baccatum than a chinense to me. Perhaps a Bishop's Crown or Aji Fantasy. The presence of green or gold markings inside the flowers would confirm it as capsicum baccatum species. Whatever it is, I don't think it is a Carribean Red Habanero.

I did see green and thought the same. What I was afraid of. Seller on ebay. meh. I sae another person report no heat etc. I am tempted to cut the unripe pepper thats been slashed to hell by fan leaves and try it out? or let them ripen?

Bishop's Crown (red?) based on the picture i saw of them before. Does that mean more growing to achieve shape? or just crud genetics [anything not grown with legit genetics?]

I should note. the seeds i planted were normal white pepper seed. nothing small or micro if that applies to bacattum?

Bishop's Crown was just one possibility that came immediately to mind based on the general shape of the pods. I'm not at all saying that is what it must be. Those bell-shaped phenos are actually pretty common among baccatum types. Unfortunately, you may never know for certain exactly which variety your mystery pepper is. But on the bright side, baccatum varieties can be quite tasty, so why not let them ripen and see what you get? And yes, most baccatum seeds look much like any other pepper seeds. The fact that many pepper seeds look so similar to one another is part of the reason why the seed scammers are able to get away with what they do. I recommend that you buy your seeds from reputable vendors in the future. Not from random vendors on EBay or Amazon. You will have less surprises that way.

Even though they didn't grow true, they're nice looking peppers and might yield something very interesting in shape and flavor. I say let them grow out and see what it gives you!

Yes I am hoping they ripen nice and red. The other packets of seeds I have grew true.. Jalapenos and those small red hots I know those seeds are good. The plus side if it the bishop crown things is that they arent that hot I'll eat them raw lol
