Chile Pequin Pepper

Bought the seeds labeled as chili pequin, but these look longer and skinnier than any I've seen. Did i get duped?

As you posted, Google Images Pequin Pepper shorter than yours.
 
I've seen that pepper called many things but mostly Thai.

Go look at pequins in a local, market; this is not one.

"Pequin" can be a real ambiguous term...Yours look exactly like the Hatch, NM variant...I think they are used primarily for decorative ristras. I grew them one season several years ago, and the heat was lacking compared to the classic Texas Pequin...If you need seeds for the true Texas Pequin give me a holler on the PM...

I've grown endless types of pequins over the years.  Those sadly are not the real deal.
