chili too hot!!!

well i made chili and decided to add one 4 inch very red pepper that i grew,didn't seem like that was enough pepper,so i added another.
i dont know what kind of pepper this is,it had a lot of 3 to 4 inch slim peppers on the plant.they are round,smooth,and very red.
well my chili is soo hot i could barely eat it.it made me cough as it was cooking.i usually grow big jim peppers,and i dont know how i ended up with this plant.any suggestions which pepper this is?and what can i do with all these very hot peppers...

Second, could the pepper have been a cayenne ?

im confussed did you make 2 pots?? and both were hot.

unfortunatly the rule of thumb is you can put heat in but you can't take it out......unless someone has some voodoo that i dont know about.
