Chili Whisky?

Heheh, search around a bit...there's a lot of hot hootch around here. ;)

I've put a fatali in whiskey before..not bad.

Most ppl use Vodka/Moonshine/Tequila though as it let the flavors come through.
 
Yeah I do the whole vodka thing... alot... awesome with fresh lime juice and lemonade, however I'm going to a whisky tasting party and hate whisky but as i have to drink it i thought i might try to make it more interesting.
 
Hmm, well, I'd say thai/cayenne/red hab/scotch bonnet for whiskey...unless ya getting adventurous... ;)

I tried a Bih Jolokia in a pint of whiskey...was too hot to even sip. Dorset's are fun though.

It'd need some time to get a good flavor, but would be damn hot even overnight. (capsaicin, being anhydrous, dissolves nicely in spirits)

Better question is..why go to a whisky-tasting party if ya hate whisky? :crazy:

I'd love a nice single-malt "tasting party" meself...

i find that spirits that have a flavour all of their own don't in well with chilli are all flavour of the drink and the flavour of the pod get really messed up together and it's not good.
Pods in well with clean spirits because there is no flavour clash.
I'm with Quad why in to a tasting if you don't like it?
 
It's just around at a mate house, they all like whisky I don't so why miss out I say to myself. I might s well give it a try. if it sucks, it sucks.
 
I've had Scotch Bonnets in Maker's Mark before (my friend thought it would be hilarious, he soaked 4 peppers about 5 days), but I actually liked it. Hot, not painful, and overall a nice flavor.
 
oh my gosh you guy's are killin me..Some things are best left alone wiskey is one of them:-)) i got three bottles of single malt, like a smooth wiskey not too peaty but do like crown!! just bought a bottle knocked down from £35.00 to £10.00 Result but it's welsh.. Also have a bottle of bushmills 10yr and a bottle of lagavulin 16yr. Hope to get some more for christmas. Will be wiskey and cheese evening i think but will throw some chilli chutneys in there for good measure..Like the idea of chilli tasting evening.. But i do like a chilli mojito..mmmmmmmmm

Biscome will woodfords be a good one to mix with habs??
