review Chilli Mash Co sauces

MarcV

eXtreme
Some of the sauces from the UK based Chilli Mash co. recently became available here in Belgium. I found some of them interesting enough to give a try and have to say that I like them. I tried the reaper, ghost and scotch bonnet sauces.
The bonnet sauce is great. Taste wise, the bonnet sauce is a close match to my pineapple-mango-bonnet jam, which makes sense as the base ingredients are the same. Heat wise it is the mildest of the 3 sauces. Consistecy wise I find this sauce a bit too liquid.
The ghost sauce is a smokey bbq sauce with a very nice taste. It is not too hot to enjoy pure but I like to mix it up with some regular, non hot bbq sauce.
The reaper sauce is the hottest of the bunch. When tasted pure, it has a heat similar to a milder scotch bonnet in the mouth. It has a fruity taste. Haven't tried it in a meal yet but I would use it to heat up a stir fry.
