Im a big vodka connoisseur and other than the awesome bottle, Crystal Head is crap. It's Dan Akroyds vodka.

I agree completely. Its almost as bad as the ABC brand paint thinner....er, i mean vodka:lol:

I love the skull bottle...and with hot vodka in it, that would be supreme...

***morning SM***

yea now just to get the bottle without haveing to pay for the vodka in it.... which aparently is shite.

oh how is that bottle of finlandia going? has it leached the color into the vodka yet?.

How much is it a bottle?

$45, I always see it at the liquor store near my hours. The bottle looks even cooler in person. I just can't get myself to pay that much for the bottle when I can get a bottle of Snow Queen for $36.

To anyone that really enjoys vodka, try some Snow Queen(from Kazakhstan) if you ever have the chance. It's tied for my favorite vodka along with Zyr, Imperia, and this one from Estonia I only had once and can't for the life of me remember the name. They're not the easiest to find, but far better than Grey Goose which is in my opinion very overpriced. Russian Standard is much better than GG and costs me $28 for a 1.5L versus $35 for a 750ml GG. I recommend drinking it like I do, a double with 3 ice cubes and a twist of lemon. When I order it out, I'm amazed at how many bartenders don't understand that a twist is only the rind, not a slice.

Thana, what do you think of Reyka? It's from iceland, and supposedly made with glacial water before being filtered through lava rock. It's a fave of mine, and the price used to be VERY right for the quality. Was running 20 bucks american for a while, but is now around $24 I believe in NC.

This seems to be turning into a "what's your favorite vodka thread". To make Moyboy happy I will post my comment in a new thread, but in the meantime, I will say that that bottle is soooo cool and would make a great pepper vodka bottle. I have made many different ones, and I would generally suggest to those that haven't to err on the side of caution. One or two pods is plenty for straight sipping. Fatalii vodka is great!

I haven't had or even heard of that. I was just read a few pages about it and would really like to try it now. There's one store I'll have to check that's huge. If anyone around is going to carry it then Total Wine & Spirits will.

Hey Thano..could it be this?

I just checked all those links and none ring a bell. Upon further thought though it could possibly be Lithuanian. I'm positive it was from one of the Baltic states and that it wasn't Latvian.

I have been working in the PNG Highlands latly and while home on a break, Moyboy and I had a shot of my Vodka.

Almost all the colour has gone from the peppers and the vodka has taken on a yellowish apperance.

Well down the hatch and bloody hell.

BANG!

Its instant fire. and its got that 7 Pot linger that hangs around for 10 minutes.

2 7 Pots and 2 Devil tongues and this is not any sipping drink. Its a "do the shot, pull a face, swear a bit and do a dance" drink.

cheers
