Chiltepin Amarillo

My Chiltepin Amarillo is full of flowers right now!  The plant is only 3-4 months old, and has been growing under my lights in my garage and seed starting room.  I got the seeds from Native Seed Search, and I've already grown and sold several starts.  I'm excited that I'm about to get pods!  The dilemma I'm facing is whether to taste the first one or save the seeds.

Thanks for the advice.  Besides, I still have more seed from NSS, and I acquired some from Semillas La Palma.

Yes, I've got to taste it when it ripens!

if they are anything like regular chiltepin, the pod will be packed with seed. i would deseed it. they are hard little seeds.

pods from my chiltepin were coughing up 15 seeds on average, yes, i those little tiny pods!
