I have some that were picked from very old plants in the colorado river valley near east Austin. Elevation about 450'
In the wild here they grow under nurse trees like Hackberries. If conditions are right they will climb 10' or more. When ripe the bright red pods are easily removed by mockingbirds.
I'm looking for some wild collected seeds from Arizona of the Sonora type.
