Christmas rope light

Last night I was experimenting a little and took one of the Christmas rope decorations and placed it in some sand in my aquarium. After letting it sit for an hour it amazed me that the temperature on top of the sand was 104 F. I said mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm a new germinator maybe. Whats your thoughts?

The reason is that I do not have a large space to germinate and thought this would allow me to start a 72 plug starter. Instead of starting 10 and then waiting then ten more Let me Know

okay sometimes it helps if you read the fine print on electrical wire plugs. I look at the big tag and said do not cover rope results may result in the plastic to melt and catch fire. I have enough problems with the fire from peppers with out trying to catch them on fire or the house.

I was going to ask for thread to be erased but may be someone else is thinking the same so don't do it We have to much to lose.

Well, I thought it was an interesting idea. Too bad it's not safe.

Why not use the lights just don't cover them with sand.
