Cleveland weather this year has been uncharacteristically WET. Expecting a full week of thunderstorm

All of my peppers are in pots on the porch. 2/3rds of them are in fabric pots, the rest are in plastic pots. All of the ones in fabric pots are outside the overhang over the porch, all of the ones in plastic pots are situated on the wall of the porch, so they would get less rain. Should I minimize their exposure, or will they be fine? I've been waiting/wanting the weather to dry out and get hot, but it's mid June, and it still feels like fucking late April.
 
I am having the same problems in Wisconsin close to the lake as well. It is raining almost every other day and very cold and windy. I have a bunch of lately started peppers boughts from the local garden shops and I'm wondering what I should do to them to help them out. This is a nasty growing season in the midwest for sure, yikes!

they will survive it but if you really want to avoid all that rain is there some way you could bring some inside so that the rest stay underneath the overhang? if not then rotate them so one day in the rain then one day underneath the overhang. that would cut the rain in half. good luck with it.  :cheers:
 
as long as the pots drain well, they'll survive, but they'll do better with a day of drying between rain days.  As said above, I would rotate them to give each one some protection every other day if it actually rains every day.
 
Most of it missed us also. Plants are all perking up but they also got some dry nutrients on top just in case. We still need a bit more sun and less cloudy days. This June and even May have been cooler than last year and it shows when i compare my pics from last year. My rocotos are liking the cooler stuff but still not crazy about all the rain we got.
 
We've been hit here in Columbus every day since last Saturday. My plants have been doing well but today I come back and several plants are tilted a little from the wind and leaves flipping upside down. The 10 day forecast, which shows actually 15 days, 5 days are without rain. Of course this can change but I'm thinking of rigging up a tent for the peppers and tomatoes. Last year was completely wet here also. Is it time to purchase the greenhouse poly?
