Hi all, I just wanted to share a small gallery of some of the variegated annums I am currently growing. These are all either variegated Jalapenos (Mattapenos) or crosses that include Mattapenos. They are relatively slow growers and are exclusively indoors.

One of my favorite things about these specimens is the variety in color when it comes to the flowers and flower calyx.

The medium is coco coir and perlite, and they are all watered with hydroponic nutrient solution.

Small edit: I just realized the second photo is a candlelight-type mutant and not a Mattapeno-type variety like the others. In this case it's Blue Christmas x BRW x Mutant Candlelight

I share your love for the variegated Capsicum annuum; however, not all variegated jalapeno are Mattapeno nor do they come from that line of peppers. Not all variegated jalalpeno types are Mattapeno, I have over 30 variegated chili produced from poblano and or jalapeno genetics as well and you can be certain I am not the only hybridizer working with those genetics.

These look really neat! I'm guessing you managed a lot of the crossing yourself?

Is the slow growth a result of reduced chlorophyll?

@hadanero Thanks! I did not manually cross any of the pictured plants. All of them were grown from seeds obtained from others (Matt's Peppers and several other independent sellers). All the credit goes to the folks that originally made the crosses.
