review Compmodder26's Review Thread

Nice review! Which one was the best tasting? Hottest?

So far I put the the Yellow Moruga Scorpion and the Yellow 7 Pot at a tie for the best flavor. The hottest so far is the Butch T that Butch Taylor sent me. The Red Moruga Scorpion had the same burn intensity but it didn't last near as long as the Butch T.

Woohoo!! Just got a SFRB filled with red and yellow Brainstrains from Cappy (as well as some tasty looking flakes). Now I can review a Brainstrain from the source. These should definitely pack the heat others have said these have. If they don't, then I guess I'll have to say that, for me at least, the Brainstrains (the ones I've eaten) don't pack the heat like they do for other people.

Tonight was day 8 of my reviews of the pods from Judy. This was another Trinidad Scorpion Butch T. It was a scorcher. However, it was much like the Moruga Scorpion in that the burn didn't last very long. But the throat burn was killer. It had the taste that I've come to expect from Butch Ts. The flavor up front was very sweet, but then the nasty aftertaste crept in.

This was day 9 of my reviews of the peppers from Judy at pepperlover.com. Tonight I ate a Yellow 7 Pot Brainstrain. It was true to form for a yellow chinense pepper. The flavor was excellent with a slight citrusy flavor. The heat was in the medium range for a superhot. It wasn't overly powerful but was decent.

So I watched your Butch T review. You can hang with the big dogs. The stomach pain is on a whole different level to the mouth/throat burn. The stomach pain nearly pu me out and it pops up whenever it pleases! WTF. You kill the pods though bro....maybe that's why the rest of your pods aren't burning as long....I mean your popping multiple pods in the same day AND a 13 day marithon...oh man, you may not have a ring left to sting after this! Lmfao

I watched your "sweet hell" review too. I didn't think the sweetness was overbearing but I tend to really gravitate towards sweet sauces. I thought you did an excellent job describing it. As I agree the malt was nearly non existent in the flavor profile but the nectarines and peppers stood out and formed a really good flavor.

Your reviews are great comp.; watching them was a blast. I'll be checking out the rest soon enough....I love it. Your taste buds were compromised! Lol

Thanks for the compliments 3/5! And yeah, I've thought about the fact that I'm probably skyrocketing my tolerance up by eating these so close together, but I really have no choice if I want to get them all in before any spoilage occurs. The ring sting on the ultras is certainly not pleasant, but like my mouth, the other end is also building a tolerance as well.

About the "sweet hell". Usually I'm a HUGE proponent of sweet and spicy together, but for me that was over the top sweet and I think it was so sweet that it interfered with the burn.

Thanks for watching!

Reviewed another Red Brainstrain tonight. This one was from Cappy. This review was purely to compare the heat of his pod to the rest of the red Brainstrains I've eaten.

This was day 10 of my reviews of the peppers from Judy. The White 7 Pot has a very mild flavor and while still on the superhot level, I would consider it to be on the low end of the spectrum.

I learn so much from your vids. I had some brown dried dead looking seeds in a few of my pods and had no idea why. Now I know it was heat stress. woowww. Thanks for sharing the info in that head of yours. I truly appreciate learning new things

Great and honest review.

Great and honest review.

Thanks Pia. Now don't go thinking I'm all smart or anything. That's just what I've heard about the brown and black seeds. It may not be truth. But from what I've heard, heat and/or water stress will cause a lack of water in the pod and will cause the seed to die, resulting in black or brown seeds that are dead. But the pod is fine.

I did what I said I wouldn't do, I ate two pods again in one night. However, both were pretty mild on heat so there were no issues. Unfortunately the first pod review didn't record properly so I only have my impressions to share with you. The first pod was the Orange 7 Pot and the second pod was the White Bhut Jolokia.

This was the final pod to review from Judy. Again, thank you so much Judy! This pod was wonderful. Excellent flavor and decent heat (typical Bhut Jolokia heat).

Nice reviews...put mine to shame. :) Man, I don't think I could do that many in a row. I had a tough time with the two JudoHero sent me. I did a 7 Pot/Pod Yellow Brain Strain and a 7 Pot/Pod Douglah x Butch T within an hour of each other. Nice that PepperLover sent you peppers. I really appreciated JudoHero sending me a couple. A lot of nice people on these boards. :)

I reviewed the 7 Pot Lava from pepperlover.com last night. The pod was not in good shape at all. It was damaged pretty badly in transit. As a result of that damage, the review was negatively impacted rather heavily. Anyway, here's the vid:

I reviewed the Brown Moruga Scorpion last night. It was the hottest pepper I've eaten by far. In the review I misspoke and said the pain didn't last as long as the Butch T from Butch Taylor. I had no clue how long the review had gone. In reality it lasted just as long.
