Compost tea - additives

I was looking up some stuff and came across a couple of articles that warn about adding such stuff as molasses, kelp, fish products, green plant tissue to compost tea. At very low rates, it seems to be fine but add too much (.5% or more) and the compost can allow nasty pathogens, including salmonellae and E. coli to grow.

I've never made compost tea, but most threads I have read use molasses and green plant tissue...

We'll have to look more into this, eh?
