Copper Chef

Seen a commercial for a Copper Chef square pan, touting it as the "end all" of nonstick pans.

Anyone have any experience with these?

I have had experience with other copper pans, and unless there has been some breakthrough in copper that I am unaware of it seems to be just another gimmick.

"Taking everything we’ve learned here, we don’t think there’s necessarily anything unique about Copper Chef that you wouldn’t find at a local home goods store. In fact, if you do a quick online search for “copper non-stick cookware,” you’ll find that you can purchase entire copper cookware sets (multiple pots and pans) for not much more than Copper Chef."

They are playing on historical significance, but not offering anything the average home chef should need, or would even benefit from that I can think of - compared to other materials ...

Just for fun, copper vessels are used in old brew-houses because they keep an off-flavor at bay, particularly SMM/DMS ...

Copper pots are also used in jam making because they don't react with fruit, and conduct heat readily ...

Good one's are *VERY* expensive, and aren't plated ..

wow those are some serious Benjamin's right there.

I have an ad for a ceiling fan. I have tried to cook jam on a ceiling fan. It did not work. I got my dick stuck in it and had to turn it off. The jam did not set properly at all.
