Hello,here in Croatia is now time to start seeding some plants. We have very original growing system that I will show you
in a few days,when i start taking some pictures. We mostly grow sweet peppers, and tomatoes but this year I will try to get some morugas an bhuts to grow.

Do you move the glass above the seedlings when they sprout or do you wait a while? I have to admit, never seen that system before, but it makes sense.

Nice growing system, great success in your 2013 grow … now for a question or two. Are the seeds that I see on the soil surface covered with soil that’s not depicted by pictures or left like that? And if that’s the case, doesn’t than cause more helmet-heads? Are they grown there or do you transplant after germ?

Stupid jerk : When they sprout we wait a week or more, until weather is fine and on daytime we let some air and sun in until weather is always good and peppers are big

WalkGood: The seed are now covered with soil and watered , they are grown in there until they are big enough to get transplanted in garden.



The sistem goes like this;

1.Every year we ad some fertilizer to get good growing soil.
2.We plant and cover the rows with glass and on top of that 1 nylon sheet,and sometimes 2 when is cold
3.When they sprout we let the sun and air when weather conditions are good
4.Tomatoes go to bigger rows to have more space
5.Peppers are grown until they are mature enough to be transplanted in garden

You're going to have a lot of plants. How many plants on how much acreage/hectarage do you plan to have? Your system is similar to the way we used to start tomato plants for a commercial grow many years ago. Sometimes, though, we would just broadcast and rake the seeds in the coldframes.

Didn't updated this thread for a long while,not much hot peppers this year but I have some amazing sweet peppers.
 
Still green This year so far had amazing weather for sweet peppers.
