Chilli Seed Bank FREE Chilli Seed parcel for Aussies

After lengthy chat with AJ, about his
2008-2009 Seed Trading Parcel for USA. ( and gained approval)
It seems to me a great idea and a bit of fun. But unfortunately the parcel was entrusted to someone who did not pass it on. I Do not wish this to happen to our AUSSIE PARCEL !

OK here is the basic info -
CHILLI SEED BANK.com.au has packed a box with 9 types of chilli pepper from mild to hot and a mixed bag no name.
I have included APP 30 sealed packets of chilli seed. ( 10 seeds ONLY PER PACK )
ALL SEEDS MUST BE LABLED WITH BOTANICAL NAME ie; Capsicum chinense Bhut Jolokia Or common name if rare.

Also how it has been collected and pollinated by using the following code !

OP = Open pollinated cross
HP = Hand pollinated cross
CW = Collected wild
O = original genetics
--------------SOME RULES---------------------------

  • MAX 4 packets per person
  • MUST BE LABELED
  • SAME CODE OF SEED CAN ONLY BE EXCHANGED WITH THE SAME CODE
ie: Open pollinated (OP) for Open pollinated (OP)

  • Every different variety taken same number of variety has to be returned.
ie: If you take 1 packet of orange Hab and 1 packet of scotch bonnet - You MUST return 2 packets (min 10 seeds) of different types of chilli seed back to the box.

NOT TWO PACKETS OF THE SAME SORRY ! (if you only have one type of chilli plant then only 1 packet available, etc ,etc. Sorry I know this seems unfair but only way to ensure the box has a min of 7 different types.)

  • FOR every packet taken out ONE HAS TO BE REPLACED.
  • MIXED/UNIDENTIFIED SEEDS ARE TO BE SWAPED FOR MIXED/UNIDENTIFIED SEED ONLY ! Sorry we dont really want MIXED/UNIDENTIFIED seeds !
  • NO non eatable ORDIMENTALS -
  • Postage is paid by the box holder and should be around $3.00 For most of Australia...
  • MAX 10 DAYS AFTER RECIEVE HAS TO BE POSTED AGAIN !!!
  • Must have digital camera.

2x 7 pots
2 x MEM Jolokia
5 X G4 COBRA chilli
5x Scotch Bonnett red
1x Bonda Ma jaque (for you NOVA)

HOW TO PLAY !!

You need to be a member of THP & must also subscribe to this thread and place all details of peppers INCLUDEING POST digital PICTURES and maybe a taste profile.
So photos and names required of parent plant.
IT IS ABSOLOUTLY REQUIRED TO BE POSTED HERE WITH TRACKING NUMBER OF PARCEL SENT !

I will be happy to manage the parcel to make sure rules are being respected and the parcel gets passed on.
And keep recivers list updated.

REPEATS ! - OF course if you have great variety everyone wants, then it may come back to you many times!
As your seeds are traded (TOTALLY GONE) and new content is in the box that you want !

Im in, i already have the two varieties that i can replace. Dorset Naga and Goats Weed. One question, can we add extra seed packs to the parcel?

I will now register.
 
Of course, But only take the same number of variety.(ie: 10 packet of dorset for 1 packet of scotch bonnet) We want to share it around.(you are only required to do one for one) And people like you can help me keep it stocked as Dorset and goats weed I am sure will go, so it will be able to come back to you when you are interested in its content and your packets are gone.

Happy days, i can also include Tabasco, Aji Limon and some weird small Jalapeno variety i have. How do we go about un-identified seeds, cuz i only THINK its a Jal, pics i spose.
 
Not really tricky, i say we include a url addy for the varieties. I know it sounds like a PITA but if we had pics of the seeds mother there is no doubt, you get whats on the pic!

Shite that won't cut it, your right it's tricky but not impossible.

We need to have this REALLY detailed and post as much info from each receiver. That way everyone can see where it is.
So photos and names of each seed being put in IS ABSOLOUTLY REQUIRED TO BE POSTED HERE !

But once we get it down this will be fun ! - And everyone involved should have alot of variety for next season !
Maybey someone do RULES in a LAMINATION ??
