Curling slightly damaged leaves

Thought I would ask the experts. Some of my plants have some leaves that are curling upwards and one or two have some leave damage. The only bugs I see are ants like crazy. Should I do something about the ants? Until this week they stay on the ground but lately have been crawling on the plants. Reading up it could be under/over watered and other things. Just thought I would see what you thought.

They have been planted in ground for about 2 weeks now, at first thought it could be shock but figured it would be over by now. First week and a half it was windy and rainy. Last few days nice and dry. I flood the rows every 2-3 days when it looks like the ground is dry. What are your thoughts?

Looks like a mild case of over fertilization, to me. Should bounce back just fine. Mind those ants, though. While they themselves aren't harmful to your plants, you can bet they're ferrying aphids. It's a partnership between those two... might as well say if you have ants, you have aphids.

It also could be mites.... those make the leaves do something similar. Treat with a spray of water and dish soap... just a couple of drops of soap should do it.

Good to know! thank you! I planted them with some city compost may have put to much in my mixture

I'm pretty sure you have aphids, i see a black winged insect and some little dots next to the new growth. I suggest looking closer and reporting in again

Good catch. At first I thought it was some dirt we had a crazy wind storm. Last night was windy as well but I checked over the first row of plants and sure enough there was a winged creature in one of them. 6 of them were ok, one had a beetle looking thing but one had a couple of the winged insect. damn. Now need to get a game plan going.
