D3 Goat

D3 Goat or D3monic Goat is currently a f1 cross of Bahamian goat pepper x Butch T yellow scorpion. Of the 3 plants i'm growing this year the phenotypes are fairly consistent though one plant seems to be hotter and more bitter.

Plants are very productive with branches that need support from the weight of the pods. Pods can get fairly large as well.

I'm not very good at conveying taste but the burn is very in your face. Like a punch in the throat burn. This is one of those peppers you will either love or hate depending on how it treated you.

Here's a review from Peter
The flakes I've made from this retained the throat punch heat with a burn you can feel all the way down.
I've sent out lots of pods to members, i've received word that a brewery will be using it in a small half barrel batch so that is kind of exciting. Curious as to how that will turn out.

That must be a great honour, being involved with a local brew like that.  (As i type this, i could see how it might be misconstrued as sarcasm but trust me; it ain't.  Thoroughly sincere...)

How hot are these D3 Goats? Like, right between a Butch T and a Bahamian Goat?  Or someplace hotter'n that?  I gotta say, the pods look killer.

I'd say much hotter than a Bahamian Goat but less than a scorpion.. .but not much less. Total guess at the 450-500k range. I have lots of peppers for sale if you wanted to try any. check the forum ads.

These are some of the F2 pods I got going this year.

These two were growing close in the same pot. At first I thought it was the same plant but one side is red pods other is peach.

Very nice, D3. I love that "Giant pheno." Can't wait to see what color it turns

Thanks, me too. Hopefully anything but orange. Still searching for a chocolate pheno. Will keep growing f2s until I find one. Maybe at least 2-3 f2 plants each year just in case a cool pheno pops up. Kind of like 1010s yellow d3 goat pheno. Love the wicked tails on those.

I threw a couple of F2 seeds into the Aerogarden. Do you want me to send you seeds/pods? I know the last thing you need ate more pods, but glad to send them if you want to try em.

Dear god no, seeds are fine. I can just by looking at it that pheno is a winner. My lips are burning bad enough from the couple phenos of el scorponero I just tried. I don't even want to go there with the d3 goat.

Let me know if you want some help growing some out next year. I'll isolate them too, if you want, man

Sure thing brotha, I got a box full of pods going to Peter S for him to try and help narrow down phenos. I think I got a pretty good idea on which ones are worth keeping so far and will start drying some seeds. Hopefully he takes these better than I am. Only thing i've found so far to take the burn off quickly was some cotto salami.

Haven't even started cutting up D3 goat. I will need to be careful.
