Alrighty folks! It's almost plant out time and that means that my basement and lights are going to be freed up for some crossing projects through the summer.

I have 4 DWC buckets available for growing peppers indoors all summer. (not to mention racks for seedling growout)
2 spots are already taken by White Fatalii and CGN-21500.

These Plants will be the Base for all my other crosses. Meaning that I will use pollen from plants that are outdoors in the rest of my collection crossed with these. These will be tagged and harvested and grown out in the basement to choose phenos. I'm planning on going for taste more than heat.

Plants to choose from

My biggest focus will be crossing the White Fatalii with CGN-21500 but will do plenty of other crosses with them as well.

Once the poll is complete Thursday night- the two winning plants will be moved to the hydro system and this thread will serve as my grow log for this project.

Y'all are more than welcome to offer suggestions as to what you would like to see crossed with what as well. I'm sure I will be sharing seeds with most of you at some point (prolly F2? maybe some F1's)

Ok, this is the very last plant, this took ridiculous amount of time to ripen, but I held onto it since it had a few nice looking pods so I had to leave it in the greenhouse since its almost winter time.

El Scorpenero F2 Plant 6

Mild, very mild, I ended up eating half of it and it wasnt that hot at all. Nice taste, almost annuum kind of taste, no chinense smell or taste at all. The skin is quite thick but easy to chew and is pretty juicy.
The pods are pretty consistent in shape too which is cool. I got a bunch of good seeds from both of these.

Yeah man, was very odd, wouldn't ever think this was a Butch T cross. I'll send you the seeds from this and Plant 5.

Perhaps we can just label them as F2.5, F2.6 etc, not sure how everyone else does it. Otherwise with so many plants of each generation it can get a bit lost.

Actually, how do we define which F2 plants are the F3s are from? Do we need to keep the naming going? i.e. F3.3/2.2 i.e. this is a 3rd plant from F3 weeds which came out of plant 2 F2 seeds. Or is it too much? Just thinking family-tree wise would be interesteing to then chuck all predecessors into a single line, going from the very first cross all the way to stable.

Might be hard to keep track of. .. or I should say, would be hard for me at least.

Omni bonnet doing good in the greenhouse. Still no pods though

more of the F3's  in the seedling tray. Need to transplant the larger ones. Debating if they should go straight into the garden or if they would become worm food.

This thread is awesome!!!!!!

How does one get involved?

under the premise that they don't share the seeds with others, participation in this thread posting pics of your plants, pods, reports on the phenotypes you get, taste heat ect and sending me back seeds from any phenos you get that interest me.

So far a lot of the people I have sent seeds to aren't living up to the participation portion. Special thanks to those who are though.

Would you send internationally? I wouldn't mind joining in as part of my next season...

Did some quick weed pulling and snapped a few pics while out there in this heat.

Crosses all isolated, left is El Scorponero and right is D3 goat

pulled the omni bonnet out of the greenhouse because I think it was too hot for it. Kept dropping it's tiny pods right after they started to form. Will move out to front yard so it can be better isolated and more shade. There's also a blue christmas plant out there. Been in the mid 90s for a few weeks and no rain at all. 90s the rest of the week as well.
